Successful Ways to Boost Work-Life Balance

Picture
Led by Michelle Cove, author of I Love Mondays: and other confessions from devoted working moms

Bestselling author, award-winning filmmaker and journalist Michelle Cove shares practical strategies and reassuring advice to increase productivity and boost the confidence of working mothers. In her one-hour interactive presentation—ideal for an office brown-bag lunch geared towards Women’s Professional Networks/Affinity Groups—Michelle offers supportive strategies, advice, and humbling, often hilarious, confessions that will resonate with all working moms.

After interviewing professional women around the country, Michelle compiled the biggest concerns when it comes to balancing family and a career.  The result is her book I Love Mondays: And other confessions from devoted working moms (Seal Press). It incorporates hands-on advice from top experts (including executive coaches, psychologists, physicians and teachers), working moms around the country, as well as her personal experiences in the constant tug-of-war between work and family.

Michelle will provide strategies to improve work-life balance, including how to:
  • travel for business while staying connected to what is going on at home
  • use commute time to unwind rather than worry about the kids and job deadlines
  • ensure work tasks are completed while simultaneously taking care of a sick child
  • deal with feelings of missing your child’s event/milestone due to work schedules
  • collaborate and connect with co-workers while ensuring productivity and work-life balance
