Michelle is the author of the new book I Love Mondays: And other Confessions from devoted working moms (Seal Press, Nov. 2012), which has been featured on Katie Couric's talk show Katie, Parenting.com, U.S. News & World Report, and other publications. Michelle is also the co-author of the national bestseller I'm Not Mad, I just Hate You!: a new understanding of mother-daughter conflict (Viking, 1999), which appeared on several national talk shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show and the Today Show,  and the author of Seeking Happily Ever After: Navigating the ups and down of being single without losing your mind (Tarcher/Penguin, October 2010).

Michelle is the director and a producer of the award-winning documentary Seeking Happily Ever After (www.seekinghappilyeverafter.com), distributed digitally by Lionsgate (2011), and the book and film have been featured in The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Forbes, AOL News, Marie Claire, Bust and numerous other publications. Currently, Michelle is directing and producing the documentary One and Only (www.oneandonlythemovie.com).

As a freelancer, Michelle has written and edited for national magazines, including MORE, Your Tango, Psychology Today, Mother Earth News, and Family Fun, and was the Sr. Editor of Girls' Life magazine for five years. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of 614: the HBI ezine, an online magazine that explores hot topics for Jewish women. Michelle writes about her life and parenting experiences in her blog The Cove as well as on Huffington Post.

Michelle has given numerous lectures and workshops for women and girls around the U.S., and spoken at institutions including: Harvard University, Stanford University, Boston College, Boston University, Clark University, Sixth & I, The Hill Center, and several film festivals including “Women Take the Reel” sponsored by The Graduate Consortium in Women’s Studies.
